details general requirements as follow:
IT Helpdesk/IT Specialist
Roles and Accountabilities :
IT Specialist will be responsible for all operation aspects of the
policies and procedures under the direction of Deputy Team Leader and
matrix coordination with Asia Regional Manager for compliance to
guidelines, regulations and technical matters. The responsibilities will
be as follows but are not limited to:
Perform the first level of IT support that includes installing,
configuring and maintaining IT infrastructure and systems which include
shared internet access, network devices, file/database server, backup
systems and other IT related support tasks
o Install and maintain all network printers, network scanner and other networking devices
o Provide the first level of support to the maintaining network
infrastructure including internet connection, router/firewall, and
Ethernet switch
o Maintain network infrastructure including internet connection, router/firewall, and Ethernet switch
Maintain Project Server at the Jakarta office:
o Ensure Windows Server and other software are maintained and that patches are promptly applied
o Ensure the anti-virus signature file is maintained and kept current
o Ensure information is backed up and maintained in accordance with policies and procedures
o Maintain spare parts and perform hardware repairs and restoration
o Configure and troubleshoot any issues for the server
Support the operation of all computers including operating system (Windows PCs/Mac OSX), MS Office Suite and McAfee antivirus
o Ensure computer operating system (Windows PCs/ Mac OSX) and other
software is maintained and that patches are promptly applied on
computers in the office
o Ensure anti-virus software is installed and both the engine and signature files are kept current
o Ensure information is backed up on daily basis and maintained in accordance with policies and procedures
o Provide end-user support on hardware, networking and software related issues
- Configure and troubleshoot laptops / desktops / printers
- Maintain voice communications - small PABX systems
- Track maintenance requirement for all office equipment and arrange
timely preventive maintenance procedures and repairs, including doing
assets stock take
- Ensure compliance with RTI Information Security policies, procedures and standards
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- A minimum of Bachelor Degree in computer science/ engineering or comparable formal education background
- A minimum of 3 years working experience in:
- installing/ supporting/ maintaining a wide range of IT infrastructure
systems (Windows Server, Windows PCs, Backups, Printers, Scanner, Voice,
Recorders, etc.)
- in PC as well as server support experience
- Experience or basic knowledge of Windows Server 2008, MS Office
2007/2010/2013, Win 7 Pro,McAfee anti-virus, Symantec Backup Exec
2012/2015, Symantec DLO
- An IT professional, with good work ethic, customer-focused, with
ability to multitasking with minimum supervision in a team-work
environment
Sound communication and inter-personal skills, and proficiency in English both
- Willing to work based on project only (short term project)
