*TECHNICAL DESIGNER ***

  ****

The role holder provides Network Consultancy, Design, Implementation and
Support (on escalation basis) professional services to our major client's
extensive network infrastructure across APAC region. Activities will
include in-depth analysis, design (both for high and low level network
solutions), deployment, support and consultancy to customers from across
APAC countries. ****

  ****

*Key Responsibilities:* ****

* To lead on aspects of WAN/LAN Networking / Wireless/ IPT / WAN
Optimization technologies from requirements capture/definition through
proposal development. The work may range from investigating new
technologies to developing scalable and resilient solutions. ****

* To interpret client needs, assess the full requirements, and identify
suitable solutions. ****

* To input to cost/timescale solutions/options and manage expectations as
appropriate with the customer ****

* To work with project management and service delivery work streams,
provide technical leadership throughout the delivery and implementation
process. ****

* To manage suppliers and vendors in ensuring quality technical services
are delivered to the customer. ****

* To provide support and troubleshooting for complex network infrastructure
related incidents and ****

problems on an escalation basis. ****

  ****

*Qualifications:* ****

* Typically engineering/science degree. ****

* Typically have 5-7 years of industry experience in WAN/LAN Networking /
IPT / Wireless / WAN Optimisation technology domain ****

* Hold professional level industry certification e.g. Cisco CCNP, though
expert level industry certifications are highly desired. E.g. Cisco CCIE,
Juniper JNCIE, Aruba ACMP etc. ****

*Skills/Experience:* ****

* Experienced and fully competent in installing, configuring &
troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches. Strong knowledge in Ethernet,
MPLS, Wireless LAN, ISDN, IPSec, HSRP, TCP/IP, PPP, EIGRP, BGP, QoS,
Multicast, ACLs, SSL VPNs, IP Telephony and Voice Over IP. ****

* Able to complete own role independently with minimal supervision. ****

* Strong ability in interpreting client needs, assess the full requirements
and identify solutions to nonstandard tasks/queries. ****

* Strong ability in applying best practice in own discipline. ****

* Able to manage own time to meet agreed targets, and to develop plans for
specific work activities in own area over the short-term, including
forecasting resource requirements. ****

* Possesses good communication skills in written and spoken English. ****
