Your new job:
As buyer you take responsibility (not limited to):
o    Source and purchase indirect commodities as needed to support the business: receive, understand, and act on requests for pricing/purchase; ensure compliance with all applicable procurement procedures and policies; manage and expedite orders.
o    Prepare and send RFQ/RFP: solicit bids/proposals from qualified suppliers; validate product, price and quantities; ensure any license compliance; negotiate cost; conduct comparison analysis; recommend suppliers.
o    Manage service/support renewals: track expiration dates; co-term and consolidate service/support contracts; proactively initiate renewals; ensure 100% accurate and timely renewal completion.
o    Review supplier contracts: negotiate basic terms; ensure contracted prices and term dates are accurately reflected in all related documentation.
o    Document, track, analyze, and report purchase metrics and supplier performance metrics; generate reports as required; ongoing evaluation of current market trends and purchase history; identify opportunities and make recommendations for process improvements within the purchasing area.
o    Develop and maintain positive and productive supplier relationships; regular interaction with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure superior supplier performance and internal customer satisfaction; hold suppliers accountable for performance; administer supplier corrective action as needed.
o    Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
 
What do you offer?
o    Minimum 3 years INDIRECT purchasing/sourcing experience.
o    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
o    Must work proficiently in Windows Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and related desktop/network applications; must specifically have advanced operating knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel, including the ability to create and format advanced spreadsheets.
o    Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to take direction, work independently, and perform detailed, accurate work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines, frequently changing priorities, and sometimes high stress levels; handle multiple requisitions simultaneously; ensure tasks are completed and deadlines are met.
o    Strong focus on quality, integrity, resourcefulness, and creativity; process driven with a proven ability to compile, read, analyze, and interpret data for the purpose of reporting metrics, root cause analysis, and driving process improvement.
o    Must have strong communication skills, English literate - both written and oral; ability to easily and effectively communicate facts and data in both written and verbal forums; ability to read, understand, and write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
o    Ability to work effectively with all levels of management, internal customers, and other colleagues; demonstrate initiative, mature judgment, superior customer service orientation, and the ability to anticipate the needs of the organization. Must be committed at all times to providing exceptional value to internal customers.
o    Ability to deal skillfully and tactfully with suppliers to ensure high performance standards and adequate/timely response to purchasing needs; negotiate pricing and terms with minimal direction; recognize and resolve critical issues, and take appropriate action when escalation to Management is required.
